Abstract

This article analyzes the effects of individualized tutoring on the academic performance of a 4th-grade elementary student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). It is a qualitative case study conducted in a home environment in Ananindeua (PA), throughout the 2023 school year, with a temporary interruption in March. Data were collected through participant observation, reflective records by the tutor, school report analysis, and a psychopedagogical report prepared by a specialized professional. A decline in grades was identified during the period without tutoring and a significant improvement after its return. The fluctuations in the student’s academic performance indicated that the presence of a pedagogical mediator promotes not only the learning of content but also emotional stability, engagement, and autonomy of the student.
