Abstract

The research on Teacher Training Policies in the Southern Region is part of a joint investigation into teacher training in Brazil, conducted by GEPLAGE (Research Group on State, Policies, Planning, Assessment, and Management of Education), registered with the CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) and affiliated with UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos, Sorocaba Campus). The objective is to investigate discussions surrounding the topic and understand its impact on education. A qualitative approach was adopted as the methodology, analyzing the State of Knowledge in publications on the following platforms: BDTD (Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations), Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), and Capes Journals, spanning the period 2020–2025. The publications included those that interconnected with the research, the discussions presented, and the problematizations surrounding the topic. The outcome is expected to present analyses of teacher training policies in the Southern Region, highlighting possibilities, perspectives, and new discussions.
